A large pleasant open pub, fairly recently built, concentrating on Brewer’s Fayre food.  Nice views across the Mersey from the tables outside.  A friend visited on a sunny bank holiday and found a sign saying No draught beer, which I feel is an appalling way to rip off the customers who have to buy expensive bottles.  After a visit by Trading Standards in March 1999 found a pint to be over 12% short, the landlord was fined £250.
