The large signs outside give the impression that this is now a cafe - so much so that on a previous visit to the area I didn’t bother to go in! This time I found a friendly pub full of boisterous locals playing pool. The dingy interior is somewhat faded but still retains some fine glasswork, tiling and ceiling plasterwork. The John Smith’s Smoothflow tasted off - presumably the regulars all drink lager. |
